Beginner Acting Classes

Our Beginner Acting Classes are designed for adults who want to explore acting, build confidence, and grow their performance skills — whether you’re new to acting or have some experience. 

    • Rolling enrollment: Join a class at any time — no waiting for a session to begin

    • Small class sizes: Maximum of 10 students for personal attention and a supportive environment

    • Intro to the Chubbuck Technique: All new students to Spotlight, regardless of previous experience, must begin in the Beginner class. This ensures you receive a proper introduction to the technique. Once Katie determines you have a strong grounding in the technique, you’ll be invited to join the Advanced Acting Class.

    • Your first class will have time for an introduction with Katie: No separate intro or audit required

This format makes it simple to join, easy to commit, and ensures everyone progresses together in a structured, high-quality class.

Beginner Class Schedule - Midtown & Katy

Midtown (4118 Fannin, Suite 210, Houston, TX 77004)

  • Tuesdays @ 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM 

  • Tuesdays @  7:15 PM – 9:15 PM

Katy (21412 Provincial Blvd., Katy, TX 77450)

  • Mondays 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM — Beginner / All Levels

Tuition : $195/Month – Full month paid on the 1st of the month or upon enrollment. If you join after the 1st of the month – extras classes will be credited toward your next month. If you need to withdraw, please let us know at least one week before the start of the month. We do not offer refunds or credits.

ADVANCED ACTING CLASSES - BY INVITATION

Our Advanced Acting Class is for students who have completed the Beginner class and are ready to deepen their acting skills and mastery of the Chubbuck Technique.

  • Invitation-only enrollment: Students are moved into Advanced once Katie determines they have a solid grounding in the technique.

  • Small class sizes: Maximum of 10 students for personalized coaching and a supportive, collaborative environment

  • Intensive scene work & performance focus: Build on foundational skills with advanced character development, on-camera technique, acting exercises

  • Ongoing growth: Continue to refine your craft with consistent weekly classes and structured guidance

This ensures the Advanced class remains highly focused, challenging, and rewarding, while maintaining a strong, cohesive group of committed students.

AdvanceD Class Schedule - Midtown

Wednesdays @  7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
