Whether you’ve always dreamed of acting or you’re ready to take your training to the next level, Spotlight Acting Academy offers professional on-camera acting classes for adults in Houston. You’ll train in a supportive environment using the Chubbuck Technique to create authentic performances for film and television.

  • Taught by Certified Chubbuck Technique Instructor, Katie Martin, the technique used by actors like Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron and many more. The Chubbuck Technique is a word renowned acting method that teaches you to use your real-life to create performances that feel authentic, grounded, and irresistibly watchable.

Class schedule for midtown & katy

Learn the Chubbuck Technique from the ground up. Every new student begins in the Beginner class, regardless of previous experience, to build a strong foundation before advancing.

BEGINNER CLASSES

  • Mondays 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM in Katy

  • Tuesdays @ 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM in Midtown

  • Tuesdays @  7:15 PM – 9:15 PM in Midtown

ADVANCED CLASSES (By invitation only)

  • Wednesdays @  7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Tuition : $195/Month

Full month paid on the 1st of the month or upon enrollment. If you join after the 1st of the month, extra classes will be credited toward your next month. If you need to withdraw, please let us know at least one week before the start of the month. We do not offer refunds or credits.

KATIE MARTIN

Katie Martin has over 30 years of acting experience and has spent more than a decade helping actors develop authentic, emotionally connected performances. She has directed 50+ plays and musicals, created award-winning short films, and is a Certified Chubbuck Technique Instructor, one of a select group of instructors certified to teach this internationally respected acting method.

Katie’s passion is helping actors discover truthful performances in a supportive, challenging environment. Whether you’re taking your very first acting class or preparing for professional auditions, she’ll meet you where you are and help you grow with confidence.
